Some good news for area boaters. During Tuesday’s Gananoque Town Council Meeting which was held via teleconference council in the town of Gananoque has approved the reopening of the Lion’s Boat Launch. located at the end of St. Lawrence Street in Gananoque as of today. A reminder to everyone that this street is one way only and access to the Lion’s Launch is via Kate Street and the launch is on a first come self serve basis. Due to COVID-19 and the Order under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, The Gananoque Municipal Marina remains closed at the present time as it is a nonessential service and will remain closed until the Provincial Order is lifted. Docking is not permitted at anytime and any boats will be removed at the expense of the owner. A reminder to maintain social distancing, always wear a life jacket, boat with only those in your household, no rafting or tying boats and remember to fuel up and pack food and water.
