
Despite private parks being able to reopen as of this weekend, which was announced by Premier Doug Ford Thursday, Parks Canada is reminding everyone that access to all national parks, national historic sites, heritage canals and national marine conservation areas, including Thousand Islands National Park visitor services and vehicle access, remain suspended over the Victoria Day weekend. Access to all of the park’s mainland properties including Jones Creek, Mallorytown Landing nd Landon Bay remain suspended. The park’s visitor centre, trails, oTENTiks, parking areas and the Mallorytown boat launch also remain closed. Parks Canada says they will begin a gradual reopening of select national parks, historic sites, and marine conservation areas on June 1st.
