
Maple View Lodge in Athens and Bayfield Manor in Kemptville are receiving a total of $14.5 million dollars as part of a long term care project investment by the Ontario Government. MPP for Leeds Grenville Rideau Lakes and the Thousand Islands Steve Clark announced that Maple View will receive 7.6 million dollars while Bayfield will receive 6.9 million. The money will go to build over 200 new spaces between the two facilities. The investment by the province will see $761 million dollars be spread across 74 long term care development projects.
The local projects benefiting from today’s announcement are:
- The Maple View Lodge expansion project in Athens is receiving an additional investment of $6,925,025, helping them build 132 new spaces and redevelop the home’s existing 60 beds.
- Southbridge’s Bayfield Manor in Kemptville will receive an additional investment of $7,640,080, helping them to build 94 new spaces and upgrade 66 spaces.
