The search for a missing person continues for members of the Leeds County Detachment of the OPP.
Just before 3 p.m. yesterday afternoon, Leeds County officers responded to reports of a 31-year-old male who went missing in the water on Butternut Bay, Elizabeth Township.
Police say it was reported the man had jumped off a boat and never resurfaced.
According to police, they’ve been joined by the Leeds and Grenville Marine Unit and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre as they search the area.
They add that the Underwater Search and Recovery Unit will be responding to assist.
