Many area beaches have been deemed safe to swim at this coming weekend. The Leeds Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit monitors beaches throughout the summer months and local beaches such as Joel Stone Park in Gananoque and Kendrick’s Park in the Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands are open to enjoy. The public is reminded that although beaches are checked weekly, it’s a good idea to be aware that conditions may change and there is always a risk when swimming in untreated water.
Note: We received the weekly beach results earlier than usual. Results will normally be Friday mornings at 9:30am.
