Michael Barrett of the Conservatives will once again be the Member of Parliament for Leeds Grenville Rideau Lakes and the Thousand Islands. Barrett won by over 5,000 votes over Liberal Candidate Roberta Abbott, followed by NDP candidate Michelle Taylor, People’s Party candidate Alex Cassell and Green Party candidate Lorraine Rekmans. Justin Trudeau will retain his seat as Prime Minister as the Liberals won a minority government.
