You could say that Next Generation Farmer Mikayla Kelly was born to a farmer. Kelly has done many things in her career at the young age of just 20 years old. Locally Kelly has been involved in 4-H and is the current Grenville County Queen of the Furrow. Mikayla and her Emily sister compete in barrel racing when she’s not working her regular job at Seed Solutions and also being a sales representative for Horizon Seeds. Kelly says that she loves everything about farming and especially enjoys the family aspect of the business and that everybody works together. She says she really enjoys being a woman in the agriculture business and feels that women are just as important in this industry as men are. The Ridgetown College graduate is also very much involved in her family’s farm, which also has horses and around 70 head of beef cattle.
