The 13th annual Leeds and Grenville Economic Development Summit took place last week in a virtual setting. Several nominees were selected across the area for the Bill Thake Memorial Leadership Award. Locally Lansdowne Freshmart was on the ballot for the award. Co-owner Sylvan Fernetich says even though they didn’t win, it was great to be nominated.

Sylvan says doing this made many members of the community comfortable, knowing they didn’t have to travel far to get what they needed.
