
It was announced last week that the mandatory COVID-19 antigen test will be no more starting April 1st. This means travelers returning from a trip to the United States to Canada, will no longer require any COVID-19 test. Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands Mayor Corrina Smith-Gatcke says this will make things much easier for everyone.

Smith-Gatcke says she does not anticipate a big rush of tourists coming on April 1st, but they will steadily make their way here over time.

Reports have indicated that travelers will still need to fill out the ArriveCAN App on their smart phone prior to returning. Further details will be released in the coming weeks.
