
Good new for boaters. If you frequent the St. Lawernce River or Lake Ontario for fishing and sight seeing, you no longer have to report to CBSA. MP for Leeds Grenville Rideau Lakes and Thousand Islander Michael Barrett says he is happy to welcome travelers back into Canadian waters.

Barrett recently met with New York State Assemblyman Mark Walczyk regarding travelers along international waterways. Those who frequent the St. Lawrence River and Lake Ontario for fishing and tourism, will no longer have to report to the Canada Border Services Agency. Barrett say this is one of the many restrictions that have been lifted.

Boaters will no longer have to report to CBSA to enjoy a day of fishing or sight seeing on Canadian waterways, as long as thee boat does not land on Canadian soil, anchor, moor or come alongside another boat in Canadian waters. Further information can be found below
