
The Leeds Grenville Lanark Health Unit is continuing to monitor local beaches through the end of August. Residents and beach goers are advised that surface water is changeable and you are encouraged to think about several factors regarding the quality of water you are swimming in. Factors such as heavy rain in a 24 hour period and water fowl droppings in the water can contribute to high bacteria levels. Almost all beaches are open and the full list is available below.

The following beaches within Leeds, Grenville and Lanark are CAUTION – The water is not recommended for swimming. The latest bacterial tests of the water indicated unacceptable levels of bacteria.
