Brockville General Hospital recognized a local pediatrician for her dedication to the community. Recently Dr. Harvinder Chawla was honored with a plaque for her exceptional care for infants, youth and adolescents at Brockville General Hospital and the community. Chawla has been a pediatrician for 47 years. Chawla’s husband Jag made a $25,000 contribution to the BGH Woman and Children Program to celebrate the milestone. The money was used towards the purchase of a new birthing bed at the hospital. Chawla’s plaque will also remain at the Women and Children’s Program at BGH.
