
The Ontario Provincial Police had another successful year for their Festive RIDE campaign during the holiday season.
Close to 10,000 RIDE stops took place throughout the province, with approximately 240,000 drivers checked.
Between November 17 to January 2, OPP charged 812 drivers with a total of 1,258 impaired driving offences.
There were also 208 Warn Range Suspensions and 21 Zero Tolerance Suspensions issued during the campaign.
Drivers are reminded that the OPP conducts RIDE events throughout the year as part of its ongoing efforts to save lives on Ontario roads.
