A 32 year old male has been arrested and charged after Brockville Police received a complaint about a shoplifter at Walmart. On January 10th, Police were notified after a shoplifter and staff were involved in a physical altercation. It was learned from Loss Prevention that the accused had $700 worth of merchandise, which he then tried to conceal in a bag. According to police, the accused struck a door greeter in the face and threw items at the Loss Prevention Officer. The man was charged with theft under $5000, assault and resist arrest.
