
Correctional Services Canada appointed three Wardens at three different institutions during an Affirmation of Command Ceremony in the region.
Mike Jensen was appointed to Warden of Joyceville Institution, Christine Anderson was appointed to Warden at Collins Bay Institute, while Larry Ringler was appointed Warden at Bath Institution.
The role of Warden, represents the responsibility, authority and accountability of a correctional leader.

• Collins Bay Institution was built in 1930 and is located in Kingston, Ontario.
• This is a multi-security level facility that can accommodate up to 760 offenders.
• Collins Bay Institution is the site of a penitentiary farm, providing a program to offenders to work in dairy cow
operations, horticulture, and crop production.
• Bath Institution was built in 1972 and is located just east of the city of Bath Ontario, approximately 25 kilometers
west of Kingston, Ontario.
• This is a medium-security level facility that can accommodate up to 516 offenders.
• In 2016, the Regional Intermediate Mental Health Unit opened at Bath Institution
• Joyceville Institution was built in 1959 and is located approximately 20 kilometres north-east of Kingston, Ontario.
• This is a multi-security level facility that can accommodate up to 752 offenders.
• The Ontario Region’s Assessment and Temporary Detention Unit is located at Joyceville Institution
