The Leeds Grenville Lanark District Health Unit has given their updated weekly beach report for the region.
The health unit tests water at all 23 area beaches during the summer to be sure they are safe for swimmers to cool off on a hot day and we will see plenty of those this summer.
Good news for Gananoque beach goers at Joel Stone Park, bacteria levels are no longer a risk and are at a safe level.
Three other beaches in Carleton Place, Merrickville and Mississippi Mills have been deemed unsafe for swimming due to high bacteria levels.
