High powered boats will be heard this weekend as the 2023 1000 Islands Can Am Poker Run gets underway.
Poker Runs America and Power Boating Canada will be running this years event, which features boaters picking up playing cards in sealed envelopes at five destinations along the St. Lawrence River.
At the end of the event in Kingston the envelopes will be opened and the best hand will be declared the winner.
The event will also have two divisions, one for performance boats and another for family boats.
A poker run is also set for Gananoque on August 25th through the 27th.
