The weekly beach water testing report has been released by the Leeds Grenville Lanark Health Unit. The health unit tests water at all 23 area beaches to ensure bacteria levels are acceptable for swimming and other recreational activities. In this week’s report, Merrickville Beach and Almonte Beach in Mississippi Mills are the only two beaches that have unacceptable levels of bacteria. These areas are not recommended for swimming.
