
Five beaches have been placed on the unsafe swimming list according to the recent Leeds Grenville Lanark Health Unit beach water testing report.
The report, released once per week, is advising everyone to not use beaches in Carleton Place, Mississippi Mills, Merrickville and Smiths Falls for swimming or other recreational activities.
The health unit tests all 23 beaches in the region and for a full list of beaches that are safe for swimming check the list below.
