After travelling around James Lund’s father and girlfriend fell in love with the Town of Gananoque and wanted to start a small cafe.
Lund says his father purchased a building on King Street, but it was no easy task. Plenty of work needed to be done but has grown into a popular spot for locals and tourists in the region.
The cafe began it’s start with a small window which, after a lot of work, turned into the current location they have.
The cafe serves fresh coffee, desserts and gelato, which Lund says is great as they are always trying new creations.
The cafe is open 6 days per week from 8am until 5pm. Lund adds that he is so happy with the early success of the cafe and looks forward to what the future holds.
He says the vision is the Pistachio Cafe, is to not just be another cafe in Gananoque, but to be “the” cafe in town, which everyone wants to be at everyday.
