
Recently an announcement was made to redevelopment Sherwood Park Manor, a long term care home in Brockville. With an aging population, the home is in need of more spaces and is one of 67 projects in the province that is receiving support. Minister of Long Term Care Stan Cho gave us a few details on the plan for the home.

Cho says one of the new features of the home will be diagnostics for seniors so they do have to be taken to hospital for that.

Audio PlayerThe design is centered around ‘resident home areas’, each of which creates a more intimate and familiar living space for up to 32 residents, with dining and activity areas, lounges and bedrooms.
Resident areas will include a guest suite, physiotherapy room, pop-up shop, tuck shop and beauty salon. The first guests will be welcomed in the fall of 2025.
