Rotary of Gananoque has recognized a student of the month at Gananoque Intermediate and Secondary School.
Teachers nominate a student based on several criteria, including demonstrating school spirit and being involved in the community.
The December recipient was Emma MacNeil-Comeau.
Emma’s picture will be displayed in a case outside of the school gym for a year. She also receives a monetary award from the Rotary Club of Gananoque.
The award is in honor of former student Shannon Ogilvie.
Student of the Month Criteria:
* They are from any grade between 9 and 12
* They have demonstrated school spirit
* They are involved in school activities in a positive manner
* They have shown good character towards their fellow classmates and the staff
* They are involved in the community
* They demonstrate leadership
