The City of Kingston and Kingston Police have released a summary of actions taken during St. Patrick’s Day weekend. They’re still reporting numerous fines – but overall satisfaction with the event’s conduct.
Increased engagement with students before the weekend contributed to the positive outcome.
A Nuisance Party on Aberdeen Street led to traffic restrictions and dispersal orders, with fines issued for various violations. Kingston Police also issued fines and charges under the Liquor Licence and Control Act.
Police Chief Scott Fraser praised the collaborative effort among community partners and noted a reduction in charges laid, signaling improved compliance.
