Tomorrow, represenatives from over 170 nations convene in downtown Ottawa for the fourth round of talks on a global plastics treaty.
Their goal: to eradicate plastic waste by 2040.
They’ll focus on curbing common types of plastic litter and tackling harmful chemicals used in plastic production.
The most contentious issue in the negotiations is whether countries should put a cap on how much plastic they can produce.
