Town of Gananoque staff are encouraging everyone to gather up your leaf brush and yard waste as collections will begin at the start of May. However do not put out and yard waste, leaves or brush before May 6th.
Gananoque Town Council Meetings are regularly held at 6:00 PM. All regular meetings of Council shall be held on the first (1st) and third (3rd) Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise determined by the Council. Call to Order and Closed Sessions of Council may vary depending on time needed for Closed Session of Council.
Township road restrictions are set to be lifted very soon. April 29th to be exact. Stay tuned to the Township website and Social media for the latest updates.
Just a quick reminder to motorists that Cooper’s Alley will be closed during the day until Friday April 26th from 7:30am until 3pm. The Crosswalk is available to pedestrians and the town thanks everyone for their patience and understanding.
If you plan on heading to Kingston, it is strongly urged to not take Highway 2 as the LaSalle Causeway is still closed and there are significant delays at the new third crossing. Take the Highway 401 and save yourself a long day in the car! Our news department will keep providing updates on the Causeway situation as it develops.
The Arthur Street Rehabilitation Project will be getting underway and Stone Street South to Charles Street South will be closed to motorists however local traffic will be allowed to pass through. Work begins May 6th and will run through October 25th.

It is Pitch In week in Gananoque and the Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands. Check out the Community Calendar to for events that are up coming or get a Pitch In bag from the the Town of Township and help keep our community beautiful.
If you want to get in on supporting a great event, The Gananoque Secondary School will be holding their upcoming athletic banquet and are looking for table sponsors from any individual, organization or local business. Cost per table is $100. Deadline for submissions is May 1st.
You hungry? Got dinner plans for tonight? Linklater Breakfast Club is hosting a Spaghetti Supper on April 25th from 5-6:30pm at Linklater Public School.
Also The Bobby Show featuring all the famous songs of famous musicians named Bobby at Grace United Church in Gananoque. Tickets are $20 and available at the door or at the Visitors Center and Beggars Banquet Books in Gan.
Gananoque Home Hardware will be donating a portion of their sales at the store to the Kingston Cancer Society. If you missed out this past weekend, Plenty will be happening this coming weekend so come out grab a cupcake and support a great cause.
Looking for a tree? Well get going to the Public Works yard at 665 Charles Street North in Gan! plenty of trees are available for you to take home and help make not only your property, but the rest of the town looking good as well.
Get some dinner Friday night and take home some meat for the freezer in the process! The Gananoque Legion will hold a Fish Fry and Meat Draw Friday night. The Fish Fry begins at 4pm with the Meat draw starting at 5:30pm, all are welcome to attend.
