In an effort to create more volunteer sign ups for local fire departments, an announcement was recently made regarding tax credits for volunteer firefighters and rescue volunteers.
The Federal Government has decided to double the tax credit from $3000 to $6000 for the 2024 tax year and subsequent years.
The Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands encourages those interested to sign up.
