
The Northeast racing community was saddened to hear of the passing of Northeast Modified Hall of Famer and Dirt Modified legend Bob McCreadie.
The Watertown New York native was a star in the world of racing, winning a total of 507 feature races including the 1986 Super Dirt Week Modified event, at the now defunct New York State Fairgrounds. McCreadie also won a total of 29 track championships and 8 series titles in his career.
McCreadie also won several races and track championships on dirt and asphalt at many Canadian speedways, including several speedways in Quebec, Kingston, Capital City, Brockville and Cornwall.
McCreadie the best season of his career when he won a record 47 feature events during the 1994 season, along with the Super DIRTCar Series Championship. He would repeat as Champion in 1995.
McCreadie is survived by his wife Sandy, sons Tim and Jordan, daughter Tyne along with several grandchildren. Bob McCreadie was 74.
