Gananoque has extended their waste collection contract with Waste Collection Canada.
It covers curbside recycling and solid waste collection services.
In 2019, Gananoque entered a three-year contract with the company ad has since exercised two, one-year extension.
Staff recommended extending the current contract, saying the town has formed a “valued relationship” with Waste Connections over the last five years.
The extension also means the town can now plan for the expected increase in costs for solid waste collection services.
