As we had mentioned the Town of Gananoque will be without power this coming Sunday from 7am until 2pm, for crews to make upgrades.
With the outage taking place the Leeds Grenville Lanark District Health Unit is offering tips for our residents, about what to do during a power outage.
During this time food can spoil due to a lack of refrigeration. A refrigerator can keep food cold for a span of 4 to 6 hours. Foods like raw meat and dairy products will need to be thrown away if they are above 4 degrees Celsius.
Those who have a freezer are reminded that a full freezer can keep food frozen for a two day period.
More details can be found below. The outage is set to take place June 9th from 7am until 2pm.
