Helping get kids active was the focus during the first ever Jump Start Games organized by Canadian Tire Gananoque on June 4th. Nearly 300 school kids from the area came to the backyard of the Lou Jeffries Arena for a day of fun and games. Canadian Tire Manager Daniel Lubimcev had plenty of people to thank for a successful day.
Lubimcev says it was a community effort.
This was the first time the games have ever been held in Gan, which made Lubimcev very proud.
Students participated in several games during the day, from dancing stations to soccer. The Jump Start Program funds stay locally in Gananoque and help with costs to get kids involved in organized sports.
