Another Canada Day weekend and another successful 1000 Islands Family Ribfest took place in Gananoque.
From the Lou Jeffries Arena to Joel Stone Park, local residents and those coming from out of town took in the weekend of festivities. Thousands enjoyed several different flavours of ribs and also took in the sights of the region.
Saturday due to weather the festivities were shut down as heavy rain and high winds moved into the area.
Despite the weather the weekend finished off with a free pancake breakfast and the night concluded with a concert from the popular band Chickenwire, followed by a huge fireworks display at Joel Stone Park Monday night.
Money raised through the weekend went to support the Gananoque Lions and Rotary Clubs.
