Local law enforcement, including officers from the Gananoque Police Service and various agencies, will host the Kids, Cops, and Canadian Tire Fishing Day on August 11, 2024.
Sponsored by Canadian Tire Gananoque and others, the event at Joel Stone Park from 9 am to 12 pm aims to foster community bonding through fishing.
Participants can learn from organizations like the RCMP, OPP, and Coast Guard, with activities including fishing fundamentals by Learn to Fish.
Face painting and lunch add to the family-friendly activities, supported by the Canadian National Sportfishing Foundation.
