The City of Kingston is set to begin traffic improvement work at the John Counter Boulevard and Montreal Street intersection on Monday, July 29, aiming to alleviate congestion.
The project, scheduled for completion by the end of August, includes widening turning lanes and additional paving to lengthen left and right turns.
This interim work is a prelude to a full intersection reconstruction planned for 2025. To minimize disruptions, construction will occur overnight from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. on weekdays, with some weekend work.
Residents may experience noise but should see reduced wait times as a result.
