Kingston will once again host the largest in-water boating event of the summer, the 38th annual 1000 Islands Poker Run Weekend, from August 9-11, 2024.
This year’s event, organized by Power Boating Canada and Poker Runs Inc., has expanded to include both performance and family boats.
Participants will navigate two separate routes along the St. Lawrence River, stopping at five designated points to collect sealed playing cards including a stop here in the Town of Gananoque.
The boater with the best poker hand will be declared the winner in Kingston on Saturday afternoon.
This event, which began in the heart of the 1000 Islands region, aims to stimulate the local economy and promote the boating lifestyle through family fun.
It attracts some of the world’s most powerful and attractive boats to the St. Lawrence River.
The weekend promises to draw more avid boating enthusiasts to downtown Kingston, further highlighting the area’s vibrant tourism scene.
