A 48-year-old Kingston resident was arrested after an unauthorized joyride in a front-end loader at an industrial property on McAdoo’s Lane on August 18th.
Kingston Police responded around 10:00 p.m. but the operator refused to stop, leading officers to retreat and call for backup.
The K9 Unit and a drone from the Traffic Unit were deployed, with the drone using thermal imaging to track the loader.
After the operator left the vehicle, officers were guided to his location and arrested him.
The suspect faces multiple charges, including failing to stop for police, impaired operation, refusing to provide a breath sample, mischief over $5,000, and resisting arrest. He was held for a bail hearing.
