A tractor trailer lost control and rolled over on the westbound 401 Highway near John F. Scott Road on September 25th, shortly before 11:00 p.m. The incident involved a single vehicle collision that partially blocked the highway.
The truck, which was transporting a load of coffee, rolled across the highway, prompting an investigation by the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). The 26-year-old driver from Sudbury sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Due to the accident, the highway was closed for approximately five hours while crews worked to remove the wreckage and ensure safety. OPP advised motorists to expect delays and seek alternative routes during the cleanup. No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and the cause of the rollover is still under investigation. The driver is expected to recover from his injuries.
