
Kingston Secondary School was placed under lockdown on November 14th after reports of an individual with a weapon inside the building at approximately 12:30 p.m. Kingston Police promptly responded, ensuring the safety of students and staff while investigating the incident.
By 12:50 p.m., officers located the individual and the object in question, which was determined not to be a weapon. Police confirmed there was no risk to student safety, and the lockdown was lifted shortly thereafter.
No criminal charges have been laid in connection with the incident. Authorities praised the swift response of school staff and officers in ensuring a safe resolution. The community expressed relief, highlighting the importance of emergency protocols in maintaining school safety.
