A South Frontenac Township resident has been charged following a heated property dispute with municipal employees. On December 11, 2024, township workers encountered an escalating confrontation at a local residence. The individual allegedly seized tools and equipment from the workers, prompting them to leave the site for safety concerns.
The dispute continued as the individual reportedly sent vulgar, threatening messages to township staff, hindering their ability to work in the area.
Frontenac OPP officers recovered damaged township-owned tools and equipment during their investigation. As a result, 31-year-old Dylan Burgess of South Frontenac was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, mischief, and criminal harassment.
Burgess was held in custody for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston on January 3rd.
