The Town of Gananoque has initiated a Stormwater Management Master Plan as part of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) process. The goal of the study is to guide future planning and investments in the town’s stormwater infrastructure, ensuring it supports sustainable economic growth and development.
Public and agency consultation will be an essential part of the process. Stakeholders are encouraged to review materials and updates throughout the study on the Town’s website at www.gananoque.ca. Community input will help evaluate alternative solutions for managing stormwater. A mailing list is being prepared for those interested in receiving notices and updates about the study.
For those who wish to participate or have questions, they can contact Wes Paetkau, Senior Planner at J.L. Richards & Associates, or David Armstrong, Manager of Public Works for the Town of Gananoque. The study will follow the requirements of Phase 1 and 2 of the MCEA process and will support future Schedule ‘B’ and ‘C’ MCEA projects.
All comments, except personal information, will become part of the public record, and accommodations are available for those requiring assistance.
