At a recent Gananoque Town Council meeting, a by-law was passed authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to sign an agreement with Kehoe Marine Construction for the removal and reconstruction of the 300 series floating docks and the shoreline stationary dock at the Gananoque Municipal Marina.
The project will involve a budget deviation of $625,000 plus HST, which was approved by council members. The budget adjustment is necessary to complete the removal, repair, and replacement of the docks, ensuring the continued operation and safety of the marina.
The motion was moved by Councillor Koiner and seconded by Deputy Mayor Leakey. The council approved the budget deviation with a vote of 5 in favor and 2 against. The project is expected to enhance the marina’s facilities and improve the overall experience for residents and visitors alike.
