The Town of Gananoque will be conducting its annual spring fire hydrant flushing program from May 4 to May 22, 2025. The work will primarily take place during the evening and overnight hours to minimize disruptions.
Residents in affected areas may notice temporary water discoloration as hydrants are flushed. If discoloration occurs, the town advises residents to run the cold water tap, ideally at the lowest point in their home, until the water clears. This is a standard procedure to maintain the efficiency of the town’s water distribution system.
