The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands is reminding business and property owners that the deadline to apply for the Community Improvement Plan (CIP) Financial Incentive Program is fast approaching. Applications for the spring intake must be submitted by Friday, May 30, 2025.
The CIP offers funding support for a wide range of eligible projects, including façade improvements, accessibility upgrades, and the development or renovation of secondary dwelling units. Property owners can also apply for grants to convert, expand, or redevelop buildings for new or expanded commercial and non-residential uses. Projects related to agriculture, agri-tourism, ecotourism, and on-farm diversified uses may also qualify.
The program features five incentive streams aimed at enhancing community spaces and encouraging local investment. Interested applicants are encouraged to review the eligibility criteria and submit proposals before the deadline. More information is available on the Township’s official website.
