The Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB) is marking National AccessAbility Week from May 25 to 31. This national event honours the contributions of people with disabilities and supports efforts to remove barriers across Canada.
This year’s theme is “Breaking barriers together: Paving the way for an inclusive future.” UCDSB supports this goal by working to make all schools more welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for everyone.
The board says it is committed to listening, learning, and taking meaningful action so that students, staff, and families feel respected and valued. Improvements include building upgrades, accessibility tools, and inclusive learning programs.
National AccessAbility Week reminds Canadians that everyone deserves a chance to thrive. UCDSB continues to lead by example, creating safe spaces where all people—no matter their ability—can learn and succeed.
