The Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands is proud to announce the completion of the new Leeds 1000 Islands Fire Station 2, replacing the Seeley’s Bay Fire Station, which has served the community since 1951. The modern 7,808-square-foot facility, built to post-disaster standards, features three drive-thru bays and space for up to 30 firefighters, including a classroom-style training room for firefighter education.
A grand opening and open house will be held on Saturday, May 31, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 3306 County Rd 32, Seeley’s Bay. The event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, speeches, guided tours of the new station, and refreshments with cake.
The Township welcomes all community members to attend this celebration and see the new fire station that will enhance local emergency response and firefighter training for years to come.
