Saturdays in Kingston will be for the boaters.
Parks Canada released the dates when the LaSalle Causeway will be closed to vehicles, bikes, and pedestrians.
Every Saturday until September 6, access to the causeway will be closed between 9 am and 7 pm.
The causeway will then be closed every-other Saturday from September 20 to November 15.
The closure is for the removal of the modular bridge over the Cataraqui River connecting the east end of the city to the downtown allowing boats to pass through the channel.
A list of the dates when the causeway will be closed can be found by going to the Park Canada website. (https://www.canada.ca/en/public-services-procurement/services/infrastructure-buildings/bridges-docks-dams/lasalle-causeway.html)
They say the removal of the bridge and ensuing road closure on the scheduled day will depend on the weather.
