A 60-year-old man has been charged with assault and uttering threats after an altercation at a Pearl Street West apartment building.
On June 2, 2025, around noon, Brockville Police were called to a multi-unit dwelling after reports of an argument turning violent. A woman had arrived at the building to visit a friend when she was confronted by a male resident from another unit.
Police say a verbal dispute began in the lobby, during which the man grabbed the woman’s arm, struck the back of her head, and threatened to harm her.
Officers quickly located the man and placed him under arrest. He was later released with conditions and given a future court date.
Police continue to encourage residents to report incidents of violence or threats immediately. Support services are available for those who feel unsafe in their homes or community. The investigation remains ongoing.
