The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has delivered first-quarter payments of $246,016 each to the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands and the Town of Gananoque for hosting Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands. These payments, covering April 1 to June 30, are part of the Municipality Contribution Agreement, which distributes funds based on gaming revenue.
Since Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands opened in 2002, each municipality has received over $33.8 million in non-tax gaming revenue. The funds support local infrastructure, services, and community development.
“OLG is a strong partner that provides substantial benefits to our region,” said MPP Steve Clark, noting the economic and employment contributions of the casino.
Across Ontario, nearly $2.3 billion has been distributed to host communities since 1994. OLG reinvests 100 per cent of its profits back into the province, supporting jobs, capital investment, and local growth throughout Ontario.
