Fire Services in the Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands responded to 10 emergency incidents over the past week. These included one medical assistance call, one motor vehicle accident, and three fires — involving a lawn tractor, an open burn, and a wildland fire on an island in the St. Lawrence River.
Crews also responded to a call for public assistance, a small fire caused by a downed hydro line, an automatic fire alarm, and provided mutual aid to Kingston Fire by supplying tankers for a structure fire.
The Township’s Fire Services continue to respond promptly to a variety of incidents, ensuring safety and support across the region. Residents are reminded to follow fire safety guidelines, particularly during dry summer conditions.
