On July 11, Gananoque Police responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting an adult potentially taken from a residence against their will.
Officers located the victim unharmed, who had left the residence with a friend.
However, when found by police, the victim was no longer with the friend but was in the company of a person who was prohibited by court conditions from having contact with them.
As a result, a 35-year-old Gananoque resident was arrested and charged with failure to comply with undertaking.
The suspect was held in custody pending a show cause hearing. The victim returned home safely, and police continue to investigate the incident.
Authorities remind the public to report any concerns regarding compliance with court orders or suspicious activity to ensure community safety.
