Gananoque Police received a report of a theft involving a cellphone and laptop valued at approximately $7,000 on June 12th.
A 30-year-old individual from Lansdowne was identified as the suspect. Following an investigation, the person was charged with theft over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
The stolen items were successfully recovered and returned to the rightful owner.
The suspect was released on an undertaking with conditions while the case proceeds.
Police continue to remind the public to secure personal belongings and report suspicious activity to help prevent theft in the community.
